Mobile smart phones continue to rewrite the rules of retail, and it was definitely evident by the numerous conversations I had with the attendees at our recent tekSESSIONS event. While smart phones are everywhere and owned by just about everybody, many retailers that I talked to are still trying to decide if they should incorporate mobile technology in their stores, and if so, how, and is it worth it for them? Two interesting presentations given at this year’s tekSESSIONS shed some light for our attendees on not only the future of mobile but how it is transforming the in-store shopping experience for both consumers and retailers.
