Genasys replaces PC based in-store servers with an IBM frame relay connected IBM iSeries server. iSeries servers are noted for their extreme high rate of availability (up-time), ease of use (OS/400 operating system), broadest range of scalability and documented lower cost of ownership.

With lower costs and higher rates of reliability of wide area networks (WANs) such as frame relay, it has become cost justifiable to replace in-store servers with WAN connected central servers.
